Stairs made even more beautiful with the inclusion of ramps. Excellent solution!

I’ve seen a similar set of stairs and ramp in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. It makes sense and doesn’t separate the able-bodied from the disabled. It is also visually pleasing. I have to admit to being a little nervous this summer in Lunenburg, when my daughter was pushing me in my wheelchair up a similar ramp and I was looking down below at the stairs. I kept thinking one small error and I’m rolling down the stairs, chair and all. She’s really good at pushing me, I trust her but its hard to give control to someone else.
