The pervasive and very pagan

Jumping up and down

Celebrating death

We are experiencing now

Scares me.

My body wants to curl in on itself

To protect my own preciousness

From untrustable human beings.

I include my own self

In that assessment

As I have surprised myself

More than once.

Fact is:

Security is an inside job

Whether we like it

Or not..

And we don’t.

I laughed so hard when I saw this:

And I was so grateful

For the little tid-bit

Of room

That laughter

Gave my poor heart.
