Three Questions

These are my current litmus test questions I use for relationship:

Do I feel lighter after being with this person?
Do I feel encouraged?
Do I feel valued?

The feeling lighter seems very key to me. It signals something really good and healing happening in the non-thought arena.

I already have enough weighty stuff going on in my life.

Inspire me?

Make me laugh?

Tell me I make a difference?

Value my existence?

Be radically honest?

Join me for a saunter down my road.

oh, so good to see you both! and great questions, i’m going to write them in my journal.
years ago, when i got my first hybrid, i was intrigued by the feature that, after each trip, measured my driving for the “% energy returned.” It was based on my acceleration and braking rates. i started applying the measurement to my interactions with friends – for instance, after having coffee with a friend, did i have more or less energy? if it was less, how much less? it was the first time i looked closely at the ratio of energy given and energy received, and you can bet it lead to changes. #unexpectedperksofdrivingahybrid
